Almost up to speed

This week’s weather has almost been frost-free and the crops are liking the change. We have more things coming on and this will be our first week back at the regular Farmer’s Market at the Upper West Fork Park. Hours there are 9 to 1 on Wednesday. If I don’t hear from you here, perhaps I will see you there.

Blessings,
Bob, Lynnita and Jordyn

Things are greening up!

This week we have a couple of additional items to offer. We may be jumping the gun a little, but we have some wonderful, tender, sweet carrots. These are not yet full sized, but if you like baby carrots you will love these.

The gardens are filling up and the weather is warming. We will be back to full scale farming shortly!

Blessings,
Bob

Green Again!!

Hi Folks,

It has been quite a long season of cold, gray and white, but we haven’t just been sitting by the woodstove. I am pleased that the first plantings since the new year are ripening and some are ready for harvest. We have some of the sweetest, most tender kale we have grown (These plants actually went in the ground a few days before our record minus 21 degree low last January,) some very nice, large leaved spinach, and some romaine ready for you this week.

Also, check out the addition of cormeals that we have freshly ground from our own heirloom grain corn varieties. This tasty, heilroom, organic, non-GMO cornmeal is just the thing for great cornbread, grits, polenta or anywhere a recipe calls for cornmeal.

We are happy to be back at your service and are looking forward to nicer weather and the ripening of other crops that are already in the ground. Carrots,
broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are on their way soon.

Our pick-up time is still Wednesday between 4 and 7 PM.

Blessings,
Bob

This week's market

Hi Friends,

Our availability list is pretty puny this week and we have more cold weather in store. I have thousands of seedlings started, but we need some sunshine and a little moderation in the temperatures to get them growing! The one thing we still have in great abundance is our butternut squash. Try roasting some up for a reminder of sunshine.

Blessings,
Bob

Market is Open

Good Sunny Day to You!

Our offerings are a little slim this time of year, but we are open to accept your orders. Please remember to get them to us before 9 AM on Tuesday.

Blessings,
Bob

Still here!

Hello,

The negative temperature numbers this week put a little hurt on some of our greens, but we are still here and have some nice choices for you. We are in the midst of the winter growing “dead zone” when things are cold and the days are short, so you might consider stocking up on some nice butternut squash. These organic beauties are cheaper than what you will find at WalMart, and oh, so much better!

Blessings,
Bob

Tired of this gloomy weather? Celebrate with Sprouts!

Greetings to you all and 2015,

The weather forecast for mid-week is one I would prefer to ignore, but we still have some fresh items coming in from the field and greenhouses to cheer us up! We have some delicious Brussels Sprouts, a special on our Butternut Squash for only 75 cents per pound this week (time to stock up on this long-lasting sunshine in a skin) and a few other green and good items from the garden. As always, all fresh and all organic.

Blessings,
Bob

Happy, Healthy New Year!

Hi Friends,

We will be open here on New Year’s Eve to fill out your orders, so have a look at our availability and get your orders in by 9 AM Tuesday and we will be happy to help you start 2015 with some great, healthy food.

Blessings,
Bob

Reminder

Hi Folks,

Just want to remind you all that we will not be at the Farmer’s Market at the park for the next few weeks, but you can still order here and pick your orders up on Wednesdays between 4 and 7 PM at Berea Gardens. We can now accept bank cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa) for your payments as well as checks and cash.

We still have a nice selection of things for you and hope to see you soon!

Blessings,
Bob

This week's offerings

Hello,

Cauliflower is back on our list this week. We are just beginning to cut our second planting. Red cabbage is also on our list this week along with broccoli and this will be our last week for romaine lettuce for a while. Hope to hear from you!
