Market time again

Here we go for another week! We will also have tomatoes avilable again during the drive-through so you can pick ’em, and bread is back this week. Tom, Melody, Kenny, Matt the mushroom man and Sharon with jams and jellies will be with us again this week. Come see us for the best stuff available in these parts.

Market open

Hi Friends,

The market is now open for this week. In addition to what is listed here we will have potatoes and tomatoes available for add-ons on our table this week. Tomatoe varieties include Black Cherry, Brandywine, Rutgers and Yellow Jubilee. These are not listed for pre-order because we want you to be able to pick out the ones you want (size, degree of ripeness, etc.)

Some items to look forward to in one to two weeks: canteloupes are sizing nicely and are not too far away, and our sweet peppers are beginning to show some color. Watermelons are forming up as well.

Lynnita is taking a week off from baking, but bread will be back on the list next week.

Hope to see you on Wednesday.

Please read! I am sending this out a little early today because I need to get to the field to catch up with some activities. Our schedule this week was disrupted with the birth of our 12th grandchild! Jordyn gave birth on Friday to the newest member of the clan. You can check her Facebook page for details, but we are happy that she is beautiful, healthy and 100% organic!

Now, for what else you need to know. We have a new crop of beets with tops this week that are gorgeous. You beet green lovers will treasure these.

I am heading out to the field now to dig some potatoes. They are not listed for pre-order because I don’t know how I will hold up in this heat, so I don’t have an exact quantity to list. I expect to have 50 to 100 lbs. on the table for add-on if you want some Wednesday. These will be our favorite Red LaSoda variety, and don’t worry, if we can’t supply your need this week we have about 2,000 lbs. to offer over the next few weeks.

Tomatoes are starting to ripen also, and both Tom and I will have these on our tables Wednesday too.

Hope to see you!

More green beans

We are picking more green beans today and I just added another 30lbs. to the store inventory. If you missed out earlier, you can log in again and place another order for some.

The heirloom tomatoes are starting to blush and should be coming soon, along with sweet peppers and a new planting of cucumbers. Watermelons and canteloupes are forming and won’t be too far away. For now, more of our early summer fare. Hope to see you!

Blessings,

Summer is here and I am excited. I can finally enjoy one of my favorite one-skillet meals. Fresh sliced new potatoes, green beans, onions and garlic. Steamed lightly and drizzled with a little olive oil, this is one of my favorite flavor blends. And this week, you can enjoy it, too !

Blessings,
Bob
