Market is open

Hi Everyone,

I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of you that came out in support of our opening market last week. It was great to see all of you and we appreciate your support.

The market is open for this week’s Wednesday pick-up and we still have some really nice Romaine and Red Leaf lettuce. The chilly weather is holding a few things back, but we should be adding some Broccoli in the next week or two.

Tom McColley will be at the market again this week with a few items and we have another vendor, Kenny Point, from Big Bend that will also be joining the market soon.

Remember to use the link in this email to the website to place your order. Just replying to this email does not work.

Happy, healthy eating!
Bob

2020 Opening Day is Here!

Hi Friends,

The Market at Berea Gardens is now open. Please remember to get your orders in by 9 AM Tuesday and our pick up time is from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday.

We are a little shy on variety as we begin, but we have a whole lot of goodness that will be ripening in the coming weeks.

Our lettuce this week is fabulous. The heads are large, crisp and sweet.

We hope to see you at our new COVID-19 Safe Drive Through Pick Up at the front of our building. We will take cash for payment but if you can use a card I would prefer that for safety reasons. Any Debit, American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa will work.

Blessings,
Bob

It's cold!

Hi Friends,

Last Wednesday morning our temperature dropped to 9* putting an end to the availability of some of our offerings. Still, we have a few things for you this week, including our half-bushel boxes of potatoes for you holiday needs. Keep warm.

Blessings,
Bob

Market Open

Hi Friends,

Ordering is enabled for pick ups on Wednesday the 6th. Please note our new pick-up hours – 5 PM to 7 PM.

We are also adding a special this week on 1/2 bushel quantities of our Red Lasoda Potatoes. A 20 lb. box is only $20. That is a 33% savings over our single item price and they won’t last long.

As a reminder, I need your orders before 9 AM on Tuesday to assure their full fillment.

Blessings,
Bob

We're Back!

Hi Everybody,

Our online market is back up and running for what promises to be a great Fall season. The crops are fabulous and we will be adding Cauliflower and Brussels Sprouts soon. Our pick-up hours remain the same; from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesdays. The last Farmer’s Market at the park is on November 20, but we will be keeping this market open until well after Christmas. Hope to see you soon.

Blessings,
Bob

This wet and cloudy weather is taking quite a toll on the timing of all the summer crops. Melons, cucumbers, green beans, corn, tomatoes, etc. are growing more slowly than I have ever seen. There will be a bit of lag time over the next month before we have much to offer. When the crops do arrive they will come in quantity, so if you are interested in preserving beans, corn and tomatoes this year we will have them in bushels.

It’s transition time on the farm as we move from our early spring plantings to early summer plantings. Not much to harvest right now, but we still have some good stuff.

Hi Friends,

Sorry for the tardiness in getting the market updated this week. Yesterday’s power outage delayed my ability to get things opened. Ordering for May 29 pick-up is now enabled.

Hi Folks,

We have a couple of new additions this week. A spectacular Purple Cauliflower that is tender, sweet, and my newest favorite variety. It is simply wonderful either raw or cooked. Cabbage is also staring to fill and I have offered just a few this week with more on the way.

Blessings,
Bob
