The heirloom tomatoes are starting to blush and should be coming soon, along with sweet peppers and a new planting of cucumbers. Watermelons and canteloupes are forming and won’t be too far away. For now, more of our early summer fare. Hope to see you!

Summer is here and I am excited. I can finally enjoy one of my favorite one-skillet meals. Fresh sliced new potatoes, green beans, onions and garlic. Steamed lightly and drizzled with a little olive oil, this is one of my favorite flavor blends. And this week, you can enjoy it, too !

This week’s market finds us in a brief lull between spring and summer crops and our selection is a little slim, but we still have some good things for you.
After many requests, I convinced Lynnita to do some baking this week to add to our variety for you. Her 10 Multi-grain/seed bread is famous in this area.
Tom McColley, Kenny Point and Melody Urbanic will be here again this week with more of their goodness too! Hope to see you Wednesday.

Market open
Hi Everyone,
The Berea Gardens Farmers Market (online edition) is open!
Please be aware that our market will remain as it has been, at the Berea Gardens location from 4 to 7 PM Wednesdays for the duration of this season….. until at least mid-November. The Calhoun County market opens this Wednesday also at the traditional time of 9 AM to 1 PM inside the park building with Loretta serving her breakfasts and lunches. Vendors there will have produce, soaps, lotions, notions, leatherwork and more. We wish them well this season.
We will continue to operate our drive-through market here, with Tom McColley and Kenny Point’s produce, gourmet specialty bakd goods from Tim and Melody Urbanic with options for other vendors to join us also. We look forward to seeing you.
Blessings,
Bob
