Season Opens!

It has been a nice Spring for getting things started in our high tunnels, and we are ready to start taking orders for Wednesday, April 24 pick-ups. In the list of what is available I have included the things we have planted, but don’t necessarily have ready yet so you have an idea of what is coming soon. Please pay attention to the quantities available and only order those items that indicate quantities above zero.

The Calhoun County Farmer’s Market will be opening on May 1 from 9 to 1, and our pick-up rimes will continue to be on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 PM. Please read our Q’s and A’s page again to re familiarize yourselves to our process.

Thank you all, and hope to see you soon!

Blessings,
Bob Gregory

Amazing!

Hi Friends,

This week we have added some seriously amazing cauliflower. Seriously, the variety is named “Amazing” and it indeed lives up to its name! We also have some spectacular broccoli this week along with our other items. The broccoli and cauliflower won’t last long, so if you want some for the freezer now is a good time to order. Please remember to get your orders in before 9AM Tuesday. See my Facebook page (Bob Gregory) if you want to see some pictures.

Blessings,
Bob

Market is open!

Hi Friends,

Ordering is enabled and our online market is open now! For those of you that want to pick up your orders at the Farmer’s Market at the park, please include a note to let us know. Otherwise you may pick up here at Berea Gardens on Wednesdays between 4 and 7 PM. For your convenience, orders picked up at our farm can be paid for with cash, check, or most bank ATM cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.)

The broccoli this week is spectacular!

Blessings,
Bob

Farmer's Market open

Hi Friends,

Just want to let you know that the Calhoun County Farmer’s Market is open again at the Upper West Fork Park. Hours are 9 AM to 1 PM each Wednesday. Our online market here will begin accepting orders starting Sunday, April 30 for pick-ups on Wednesday, May 2. Hope to see some of you tomorrow at the park.

Blessings,
Bob

Broccoli !

Our awesome broccoli is now ready and we have red leaf lettuce back in the market this week, too. Our romaine comes from our second planting of a new variety called Green Forest and it is really superb with large heads and sweet, crunchy-juicy hearts.

Blessings,
Bob

Availability for May 4

Hi Friends,

Won’t be long until the broccoli comes, green beans, beets, carrots and sweet corn are out of the ground and growing, squash, cucumbers and tomatoes are transplanted, and peeprs and eggplant are going in this week, but for now it’s pretty much the same fare as last week.

Blessings,
Bob

Market for 4/27

Hi friends,

Sorry to get this to you late. This is our availability for Wednesday. We will also be at the Calhoun Market at the Upper West Fork Park from now through late November. Market hours there are 9 to 1.

Market,Market for April 20

Hi Friends,

The title refers to the fact that the official 2016 opening of the Calhoun County Farmer’s Market happens this Wednesday! We will be at the Upper West Fork Park from 9 AM to 1 PM, so come and see us all if you can. All of the vendors are gearing up for another great season and Loretta will again be serving a great list of options for breakfast and lunch. It looks like we will have a couple of new vendors this year and that is always good so we can bring you more variety. We have a bushel of ramps that we will be taking to the market and whatever we don’t sell will be available to our online customers, so if you want some we will be happy to provide them to you when you pick up your orders Wednesday afternoon.

Our grain mill is back together so we will be accepting bread orders this week.

Our online market will remain open throughout the season for those of you that can’t make it to the park.

Blessings,
Bob, Lynnita and Jordyn

Fro Wednesday, 4/13

Hi Friends,

Temperatures last night gave us quite a worry, but the field grown cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli survived the 20* night with a little help from a frost-cloth covering and a lot of prayer. Still, without much decent growing weather, things are proceeding slowly. The kale and lettuce are in our high-tunnels and are doing very well.

Our grain mill decided to spontaneously disassemble itself a few days ago and I will be waiting for parts until after Wedneday’s market, so I regret that we cannot offer the Multi-grain Bread this week.

Thanks to all of you that ordered last week! We had a nice start to the season.

Blessings,
Bob

Are you ready? We are!

Hi Friends,

We did our best to get an early jump on things and I am pleased to say that we are ready to start meeting your cravings for some fresh, green goodness! Offerings are a bit limited this week but we will be adding to our line of products as the weather and growing season allows. Please remember to get your orders in by 9 AM on Tuesday, particularly if you are wanting baked goods. It might be a good idea for you to re-read the Q’s and A’s page from the tab at the top of the page to refresh your memory of our guidelines.

We will also be returning to the Calhoun County Farmer’s Market at the Upper West Fork Park in Chloe starting on Wednesday, April 20. The hours there are 9 to 1. Hope to see you soon.

Blessings,
Bob, Lynnita and Jordyn
