Market ordering enabled

Hi Friends,

With the growing season winding down Lynnita has a smidgen of time to do a little baking, so we have added some of her hit items to the list this week.

Our last market for this year will be the market on Wednesday, December 22. Weather determines when we will reopen for 2022 and our hope is that we can get things rolling again in early April.

We still have a quantity of the Kabocha Squash varieties and plenty of Potatoes if you want some quality foods that will store until we reopen in Spring.

Blessings,
Bob

Hi Friends,

The page is open for accepting this week’s orders. Lynnita is making some Gingerbread Muffins for Wednesday and says she will make some Bundt Gingerbread when we get closer to Christmas, so you might want to try some for a sample.

Had a great time last week with our indoor market. Remember to pull around to the back and masks are required inside. Melody and Kenny will be here with their offerings too.

Blessings,
Bob and Lynnita

Beat the Winter Blues Market starts Now!

Hi Friends,

Our pre-order only (there may be a few additional items) Beat the Winter Blues Market begins this week. We will be set up for your deliveries at the rear of our building and you may come on in (masks required indoors) or just stay in your vehicle in our parking area and we will bring orders to you. Joining us for this period will be Melody with Bop and Nana’s Bakery goods, Kenny Point with fresh ginger, an assortment of greens and turnips, and Circle S Farms will be parked up front to serve your needs.

Come on in and enjoy the warmth of our woodstove, some tea and some friendly conversation! Hours will still be from 4 to 6 PM.

Blessings,
Bob & Lynnita

Market Open!

Hi Friends,

It’s our favorite week of the year here at the farm as we reflect on the year’s blessings, the miracle of God’s gifts to us through the soil, and the gratitude we have for all of you that have supported us this past season.

This will be the last week of our “Drive-through market” up front, but I have good news for those of you that want your weekly opportunity to enjoy the products that Berea Gardens, Bop and Nana’s Bakery, Kenny Point, Carol Houchin and Circle S Farms have to offer. Beginning December 1 we will move the market pick up spot to our meeting room downstairs at the back of the building. We will be servicing pre-orders only inside, but Dan will have his trailer in the parking area up front so he can meet your shopping needs there. More info about how to pre-order from the various vendors will be posted next week. For Berea Gardens, you can just continue as always using our online market.

If you don’t want or have time to come in, you can just toot your horn and we will bring your orders out to you.

Inside, we will have the wood stove fired up, and the teapot on so if you want to visit for a spell, you can. We will require that masks be worn indoors.

Again, I want to thank all of you for making this year such a special one for all of us at the market. Blessings for a special Thanksgiving.

Bob, Lynita, and the rest of the gang

Hi Friends,

Here is your selection for this week. Kenny will be absent Wednesday due to a medical procedure his mother is undergoing. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. He expects to return next week. The other regulars will be here with a lot of good food. Please come see us.

Blessings,
Bob and Lynnita

Market Open!

Howdy All,

We have some great fresh veggies for you this week to help you detox from all of the gastronomic goriness you may have exposed yourself to with weekend festivities.

Lots of good broccoli available this week; did you know that it contains more vitamin C than oranges? Just the stuff to bolster the immune system for the colder weather coming on.

Our first freeze is predicted for Wednesday morning, and along with it will come the end of our pepper harvest. We are not concerned by this, because with every weather change on a diversified farm we experience both bad effects…and blessings. The frost will sweeten our Kale and Brussels Sprouts(coming on soon) and the rest of our cabbage and broccoli crop will also gain a taste benefit. It also brings an end to some of the pernicious summer weeds that have thrived during our mild October, greatly simplifying my work load.

We expect a full slate of vendors this week, bringing you the best products available in our region.

Blessings,
Bob & Lynnita

Hi Friends,

We have molasses on our minds with the festival last week so Lynnita is going to make a batch of Molasses Oat Bread. We also have some Broccoli added to our list, and the muffins this week will be made with our fresh harvest of Sunshine Kabocha, the most delicious of the winter squash we grow.

Melody will be back at the market this week, along with Tom and his superb sweet potatoes. Kenny will be furnishing some wonderful greens, turnips and more, and Circle S Farms will also be here.

Hope to see you!

Greetings,

Ordering is now enabled for this week’s market. Lots of lettuce available this week, with our new crop of broccoli coming soon. Time to order your potatoes for storage; we have naturally grown half bushels for $25.

We are taking Mom to the airport for her return home on Wednesday morning, so Lynnita will not be baking this week.

Blessings,
Bob & Lynnita
